Be on the lookout for information regarding Teen Board applications starting in September. The Teen Board year runs from October-April, and we are looking forward to welcoming our 2024-2025 students!

Meals on Wheel Delivery Reminders
|
While out on Deliveries, please remember to:
- Take your keys and lock your car doors when exiting your vehicle to deliver a meal.
- Not leave the meal unattended even if you are asked to.
- Not run errands nor transport VNA Meals on Wheels clients.
- Report all incidents to the VNA Meals on Wheels office (214-689-3222).
- Count all your meals before leaving the drop sites.
- Use the mobile app to mark your meals delivered or undelivered.
- Let clients know about the pet program if you see that clients have pets.
- Laugh, talk, and bring joy to clients!
- Sign up to deliver a smile and a hot meal again soon!

Volunteer Opportunities to Remember
|
As a reminder, VNA Meals on Wheels delivers pet food to our client’s fur babies every 3rd Saturday. If you have extra time, we would love for you to join us. You can also assist with prepping pet food routes on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Please log in to your volunteer portal and click on your calendar to find the” Saturday pet food deliveries” and “Thursday pet pack out” events.
Note: Pet food routes will NOT show up in your mobile app, you will receive a paper manifest on the day of deliveries. Routes can be picked up the Friday before pet food deliveries.

During the month of July, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Legacy 1854 team at Louis Vuitton Americas for their first meal delivery “Day of Caring.” As one of the top luxury brands, the team at Louis Vuitton Americas have consistently proved their commitment to making a difference in the communities where they work, live, and play. By volunteering with us, the Legacy 1854 team was able to make a positive impact on the Dallas County community by delivering 120 meals to our clients equal to a cost savings of $150. Thank you again to the Legacy 1854 team at Louis Vuitton Americas for partnering with us, and we look forward to hosting your team again in the future!
