For more than 80 years, VNA has relied on the generosity of others who share our passion of helping North Texans age happier, healthier lives with dignity and respect. VNA has a variety of ways for individuals of all ages to get involved. Whether you are 4 or 104, you can help VNA make a difference in the lives of others in our community.
On July 16, 2020, we were notified by Blackbaud, a large provider of cloud-based data management services to the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA) and many other nonprofit organizations, that it had discovered and stopped a ransomware attack that occurred in Spring of 2020. Blackbaud, working with independent forensics experts and law enforcement, successfully prevented the cybercriminals from blocking system access and accessing encrypted data; and ultimately expelled the criminals from Blackbaud’s system. However, prior to locking the cybercriminals out, the cybercriminals removed a copy of some of VNA’s data regarding donors and other contacts. According to Blackbaud, any banking or credit card information contained in the affected systems were encrypted were not compromised. However, there was unencrypted, less sensitive information obtained, such as name, physical and email addresses, telephone numbers, volunteer and giving history.
If you would like to extend your support of VNA to make a lasting impact, there are several gift arrangements to choose from. Whether you would like to put your donation to work today or benefit us after your lifetime, you can find a charitable plan that lets you provide for your family and support VNA.
Every day, VNA helps thousands of North Texans age with dignity. We love hearing from those we touch and how VNA has made a difference in their life. Learn about our wonderful clients and patients, as well as staff and volunteers.
