Bank of America Grants $25,000 to VNA Meals on Wheels
DALLAS (September 26, 2017)
DALLAS (September 26, 2017) – Providing daily nourishment, social contact and safety checks for vulnerable seniors is critical to strengthening our community. Thanks to a grant from Bank of America, VNA will be able to provide home-delivered meals to 10 seniors in Dallas County for one year.
In addition to financial support, Bank of America employees volunteer throughout the year. Last May, Bank of America volunteers participated in a VNA Meals on Wheels Day of Caring delivering 190 routes providing nutritious meals to homebound clients. Additionally, Bank of America, US Trust, and Merrill Lynch have seven on-going delivery teams, which provided 262 routes, more than 500 hours of service through 200 active volunteers.
If you find senior hunger unacceptable, volunteer once a year or more to deliver food and friendship. Groups and individuals interested in volunteering to deliver VNA Meals on Wheels in Dallas County are invited to call (214) 689-2210 or email email@example.com. To donate to VNA, visit www.vnatexas.org or email firstname.lastname@example.org
